I was a long time customer of BT. I moved to them when infinity came out in my area, .. around 4-5 years ago and was reasonably happy with them.. However I found EE where offering a better deal so moved to them. I rang BT, got my mac code and moved to EE.. and that was that...
..Or so I thought, I tried getting credit recently and got turned down and was told to check my equifax report, so I signed up and am now aware why.. BT have defaulted my account that I never missed a single payment on in 5 years and say I owe them £200+
I think this is an absolute farce that BT has done this. No bills, letters or anything.. just 3 late payments and a default registered against me. I have opened a dispute with equifax and will post the outcome at a later date..
But be warned, avoid BT at all costs, they are as bad as everyone makes them out to be.. They are a bunch of slimey ***** and cannot be trusted. This seems as if it been done out of pure spite as I left them
