Getting a CCJ I knew nothing about removed using Application N244

I recently checked my credit file using experian.com and was horrified to see a CCJ on there issued 8th October 2014 that I knew nothing about. I had to ring Northampton Court to figure out what it was from and it turns out it was for late college fee payment totalling £400 including solicitors letters. I had no idea about the CCJ because I had moved out of the address on record in May 2014, and no phone call was made to notify me so I was totally unaware of the Notice of Country Court Judgement. It then went to court and obviously went against me as I did owe the money.
The reason I was late in fee payment was because I became unemployed in June 2014, and was signing on unemployment benefit from August 2014 (thankfully I have recently gained full time employment). I was still attending the college from September 2014, but despite me being there twice a week this CCJ was not mentioned to me. I got in touch with the finance department to discuss fees (finance department e mailed my tutor asking me to contact them), I did so straight away and on the 15th October and agreed to pay £100 then and there as well as a further £100 every month until the money was paid. Ironically, the CCJ was issued on the 8th which meant had I paid the full amount I would not be in this mess as it would have been removed anyway. The finance department never mentioned the CCJ so it is now on my credit file for 6 years which I think is unfair.
I have spoken to Northampton Court and they have informed me of an application N244 to get the CCJ removed completely from my file (it was paid in full several months ago). The basis of this application would be that correspondence was sent to an old address and I was completely unaware of the judgement until recently. I set up a payment plan to pay the fees (nearly half of my month benefit) but had I been made aware there was a CCJ, I would have borrowed the money from family and paid it straight away.
Am I correct that if the party that issued the CCJ are in agreement with what I say on the application, and the judge agrees, it is removed? The college are reasonable (unlike the trigger happy solicitors they use) and I have explained to them the situation and they agree with me and would sign the application.
I would really appreciate and help on this matter as I am saving up for my first house and this will pretty much stop that happening unless I can get it completely removed. I understand it is quite a complicated situation, feel free to ask any questions at all, any input is greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.

did you pay the CCJ within 30days?
if not, I'm sure the CCJ will still show: just as satisfied instead.
You could always request a NoC on your 3 CRA files: and then explain it was due to hardship/unemployment and that you settled the matter soon as you could.0 -
The CCJ was not paid within 30 days because I did not know about it until last week! The funny thing is, I set up a monthly payment plan 1 week after the CCJ was issued (this was in October of last year), if I would have known I would have borrowed the money from family and paid it off!
I already have a letter saying it is satisfied, I want it removing altogether because I did not know about it.0 -
Did you notify them of your new address?
If not then papers served on your last known address (current address for all they know) are considered legal.0 -
I did not as term ended for summer. Going off what Northampton Court told me, if both myself and the college are satisfied with the reasoning on the application, we both sign it and send it to the court. I have spoken to the college and they are happy with the reasoning and would sign the application to have the CCJ removed...0
