First post, reclaiming PPI

I'm currently looking into PPI on a bank loan with Barclays, and two car finances. I now I was essentially "forced" into taking on PPI in order to have the loan/finances.

After contacting the companies, I've been able to get a hold of the account numbers. I only have paperwork for of the car finance accounts. The loan was closed around 2007/2008. Cars were 2006-2011 and 2011-2013.

What's the next step? do I need to make a request for statements, etc, or can I now just use the letter template from MSE and just provide the account numbers and reasons why?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

For the Car loans, if you got the car from a dealer and they sorted the finance out, you need to make the complaint to the dealer.

What are your other reasons for mis sell?. You cannot say that you were "forced" to take. This is hearsay and you will need to prove it.

For the 2011-2013 Car Finance are you sure its PPI you were sold could it be GAP or some other insurance, I thought most of the large Car Dealers had given up on face to face sales of PPI by then as the PPI Sh** had already well and truly hit the fan. If it is PPI I would expect the dealer to have a strong paper trail system in place to justify the sale by 2011, what could go in your favour though is the typical car salesman's cavalier attitude to paperwork - not filling it in at all or filling it in incorrectly.
