Ive looked at the sheet, as I pay 150 childcare , the rest in child care vouchers , im a single parent on just over 18k . sounds a lot , don't be fooled . my mortgage alone is 600 . had panick attacks about this . I get a measly amount working tax credit , but will have to wait for my new reward to come through as my childcare changed at the beginning of the month . so I have a feeling I may be losing everything. joys.

Although you dont give an awful lot of detail of your circumstances, if you are struggling now it will only get worse so in your position I would be looking at selling the house. You will get the same in tax credits whether you own or rent but in rented, you will get help with housing benefit provided your savings are low enough.

I'm not struggling now. I want to be prepared. I never said I.was I don't think.

36 hours a week and the childcare equates to 390 a month 243 is paid by vouchers.

I'm a worry wart. I like to know things. I've worked my budget out without any ctc or wtc. I can cope. Just.

Just to clarify I don't over spend. I buy if I need not want. I didnt ask to be singley ex downgraded.

Could you check for me too please?

I am single and I work 25hrs a week at £10400 pa. I have 5 kids at school and child care costs of £80pw.

Can I also ask how that would change even further once my childcare is zero? (as it will be when the youngest is at full time school)
    Thanks x
  • Can someone help work out if we would get anything from April.
My husband is currently unemployed after being made redundant and I am full time carer to our disabled son. We get maximum tax credits now, my husband has a few interviews lined up and hopefully will soon be employed again on a salary of £23,000.
    Likely income 2016/17 is salary + carers allowance = £26 000
We have 2 children, one severely disabled on high rate DLA for care and mobility.

With all the changes I have no idea if we would get anything and I'm trying to plan ahead.
