Can you help me work out our tax credits for 2016-2017 please , we have 3 children ( 2 in special needs high-schools , 1 in primary school ) my two children that are at a SEN high-school they have dla , 1 middle rate , 1 high rate care . My husband works full time and can earn £26,100.00 per year if there is any over time , this is before tax and NI is deducted , I claim carers allowance £3'229.20 , also for the last 2 years the tax credits people have not been deducting my husbands pension payments , he pays his pension payment after tax & NI and is deducted from his net figure on his wages , I've been trying to explain to them about this and they still seem to think that it's been deducted from his gross wage figure ( before tax & Ni ) . Thankyou for your help in advance .0

Thankyou xx , that's what I predicted but wasn't sure xx , I've already budgeted for the loss of tax credits , thankyou for your help xx , I will try and contact them again about my husbands pension but the last time I did they were not listening to me , he gets his yearly statement from legal & general and the p60 does not show any deductions in pension payments , he only gets tax relief in his pension and not his wages , it would be so much easier if his works pension was deducted via his gross figure , thankyou for all of your help xx0

Don't forget to take the gross figure off for tax credit purposes not what he actually personally pays.
I recently had to send my L&G annual statement off to evidence why the figure i declared for tax credit purposes differed to my P60 figure as they were going to just use my P60 figure. You may need to do the same.0 -

Hi. Would someone be able to help me work out what tax credits we're likely to get next year as I'm totally confused! We have 4 children and our income for 2015-2016 will be approx £49500 (husband £29.5k and me £20k) and should be the same for 2016-2017. Income for 2014-2015 was £45100. Childcare cost are £120 per week and we have been getting tax credits this year, but thinking we might not be entitled to anything next year.
I may have the option of a new job, on around £14.5K, so big pay drop but the hours would mean I wouldn't need to use any childcare. I'm thinking it may be worth taking it if we no longer get any help with childcare costs. Many thanks0
