Warrington and Halton Hospitals have responded around information on the parking system at Halton General Hospital after the DVLA announced they wanted to explore concerns raised about the system on that site and that issuing parking charge notices is on hold temporarily.

That sounds as though it is an end in itself. The prime purpose.

Wow, the hospital trust is now at the centre of a massive sh|tstorm!

The council has convened a special meeting and summoned the trust's Chief Exec and Chairman. Two local MP's have got stuck in.

This could be the first PPC scheme to get shut down as a result of local uproar!

One question that has to be asked is where that one million quid is ending up. In the PPC's pocket, or is it going to the hospital trust?

I suspect I know the answer to that. Which hospital was it that scrapped its barriers because they needed £70,000 maintenance, and brought in PE to fleece its customers to the tune of £1M?

"how much money has been received in the last two financial years (2012-2013, 2013-2014) by the company from the payment of fines and/or penalty notices at car parks within the trust?

    None

    - does the trust receive any of this money? If so, how much?

    Yes but nothing to date
