Switching one current account but leaving others

I have two 1st (current) accounts (along with a savings, mortgage & Regular Saver account) at First Direct and need to close one. Is it possible to switch the 1st account but leave the others or does the whole relationship need to close?

Thanks for that but a further question has arisen. The account that I'm closing is a joint account but I wish to open a sole account. I can imagine that this could prove troublesome so does anyone have any experience of this?0

A joint account can't be switched to a sole one. You have to convert it to a sole before switching or switch to a joint account.

Thanks again. This doesn't look promising them as First Direct can't convert it. They simply open another.A joint account can't be switched to a sole one. You have to convert it to a sole before switching or switch to a joint account.
