with edf. called to get a yearly kwh. they stated 477kwh per year ( 01/06/2006 - 06/06/2007).
put it into the sites to find a cheaper price and it is stating i only use £14.00 worth of gas. funny i get charged £25.00 each month, and it just went up.
called back to state this and she gave me the meter readings to prove the usage and said dont go by these sites.

can anyone tell me who is right the edf or the site

many thanks

    The site.

National average is 20,500 kwh per year - 40 times the figure EDF gave you.

What are the readings you have been given?

I may be wrong but I doubt that the figure given to the OP is in kwh, more likely its the number of units used.
If you convert the 477 units you get 14,736 kwh which would cost about £375 or £31.25 a month. (using Equigas prices)
That gum you like is coming back in style.

penrhyn is most probably right. (A testament to the quality of the customer service staff of EDF that they can not tell when OP phones back that 477 kWh is an incorrect annual consumption!)

Most of us are on meters that measure units of 100 cu ft. If that is the case with you, penrhyn's figures stand. If you have the newer type meter that measures in m3, your consumption would be about 5,200 kWh but that is also an unlikely low figure.
