Enough to get out of benefits?

Hi.
I've been offered a job for 6 months which pays £8 an hour and is 25 hours a week.
I'm currently on job seekers allowance with my partner, and we get housing benefit and council tax allowance.
I would like to accept this job as I don't want to be on jsa any longer than I need to be!
I'm just wondering what help I can get as I don't think I will be earning enough to cover my rent and bills as well as affording food etc.
Please can anyone give me any advice?
Thanks

Unfortunately that's how the benefit system works but the only way you'll get ahead in life is to take the job, get experience and look for something better.
If you're sure you'll be worse off you can decline the job offer without it affecting your JSA but to do that you might need to go through a better off calculation with the Jobcentre.
You've got travel costs, work related costs such as uniform, cleaning and a little bit extra for your lunch.
Keep looking for full time work (more than 30 hours) and try and avoid applying for part time work.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.
