We got a windscreen invoice from these people back at the beginning of February 15. (Out of marked bay) Like we had done before with these people we ignored all communications. I know we should have checked the latest advice here, stupid! Anyway, we received NTK within 3 days, ignored it. Just over 28 days later received Notification Letter, ignored it. Eighteen days later (27/03) Immediate Payment Demand (IPD) with court threats and typical court costs breakdown, ignored it. 3 months later 08/07 another IPD this time threatening recovery action in 14 days and with directions to their site so that we can view recent court cases. Ignored so far. Question (1) Should we just carry on ignoring and hope for the best? (2) I have checked the BPA list and UKCPS do not appear on it and yet every letter has the BPA logo printed on it from a bad scan and with a very cheap printer, are they members or not? (3) The IPC logo appeared on the NTK but seems to have disappeared since then, how can we appeal if we can't work out which organisation they belong to and what rules they should be following? Any thoughts very welcome. Thanks, The Sapper

1) all you can do is ignore (or pay - which we dont recommend)
2) UKCPS joined the IPC late last year and use the IPC IAS for appeals, not popla
3) they may have given you 21 days to appeal to the IAS, so that ship has long dsailed, although it is a kangaroo court (as explained in the NEWBIES sticky thread)
they probably belong to both, but only use the IPC IAS for appeals since they joined them last year
they deffo dont use the BPA popla , especially not this year
thay have up to 6 years under the small claims (MCOL) to pursue the alleged debt and debtor0 -
As this is UKCPS it will probably be a contractual charge on which v.a.t. is payable. Have they accounted for vat on their paperwork? If not it becomes a breach of contract and GPEOL applies More reading here

If you suspect tax evasion go here
https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/hm-revenue-customs/contact/reporting-tax-evasionYou never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
I thought that might be the answer. I think I'll ignore and see where
they go from here. I thought I might write to Centertainment in Sheffield and complain about the conduct of their parking contractor and also about the lack of parking for the v.large numbers of vehicles that attend their site. May not do any good but it will make me feel better to vent my spleen.0 -
Thanks The Deep. Good advice. I'll give the links a good coat of reading and bear this in mind if they do decide to pursue this. I assume the next communication will be a Debt Recovery letter.0
