Credit Applications mysteriously disapearing?

Hello,
For the past couple of months, I've been building up my credit rating by settling a couple of old accounts, getting on the electoral register, and paying my phone contract on time.
I managed to get my Experian score up to a respectable 853. However if would be higher had I not annoyingly made numerous applications for credit cards before I had my name down on the electoral register (Yes I know, I didn't do my homework).
Now today is where I realised something strange had happened. I had made 3 credit applications in May for car finance, which were all inevitably rejected. These left a red mark on my credit file which would no longer affect my credit score after 6 months according to Experian.
I go and check my credit report this afternoon, and find out that my credit score has shot up 68 points, due to the fact that these searches have completely vanished from my credit report!
Is this something I should worry about? I thought they had to stay against your name for 6 months, but they've vanished after just 10 weeks. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

As you will find and be told your credit score means next to nothing as creditors do not see this and go by your current credit history ie current debt, job status and financial status, some 3 months history and some 6 don't worry about the number just keep on top of your current credit is the best advice... Good luck0

Hey
Thanks for the reply. My concern is that Experian says that these searches will stay on my report for 6 months, the last search against my name as I can recall was only 5 weeks ago. Is there any reason as to why it would disappear so soon, rather than the 6 months as expected?0 -
Have you checked Equifax and Call Credit? (Noddle)0

As you've mentioned this is causing you some concern I want to help, previous searches will remain on your Experian Credit Report for 12 months, if you could email me your details (name/dob/address) I will take a look through your credit report with you to establish the reason why this has happened.
MrSilk is right, you may want to check your credit report with the other Credit Reference Agencies (CRAs) as well, just to be sure that information that has been recorded is correct.
