Guess the supplier...

I bought my flat at the end of last year, moved in and found no mention of who supplied my gas and electricity. The previous owner didn't return any calls but British Gas (eventually) managed to admit that they supplied the gas, but to this date no one has come forward regarding the electricity.
I haven't had a single electricity bill in 9 months and am not looking forward to being told that I owe someone a huge amount of money - how do I go about finding out who the provider is???
Any ideas?

If you contact mpas you should be able to find out, number varies depending on who is distributor for your area.

You can find out who your supplier is by calling your local distribution company. Each one keeps a record of who supplies electricity to every home in their area. You need to speak to their Meter Point Administration Service (MPAS) and give them your address, including postcode. The phone numbers to various local distribution companies are provided either on the page linked to by millymollymandy2K7 above, or on the Energywatch website under FAQs. Then use saynoto8070 to find non-0845 numbers, if you want.0
