Hi there
My brother recently bought me a GHD hairdryer from The Variety Store and he put the wrong address on it, but the right name (I know I know he's a pain!)
DPD have proven delivery with a name, time and GPS co-ordinates
I went round there twice and they have denied all knowledge
Contacted the Variety Store and they said to contact DPD, contacted them and they confirmed all the above.
I contacted the Police, who then also went round there and were told the same story, but denied seeing me, they contacted DPD who won't release any info without The Variety Store filing a problem with the order.
I can't get hold of the Variety Store on 0207 1646293 and no response via email. (even tho they replied to the first email saying it was nothing to do with them)
Basically, can my brother put in a chargeback against his credit card for this?
Thank you
M

Not if he put the wrong address, it's neither the retailer nor the couriers fault that he got it wrong. They have completed the contract that was agreed to.
Unless of course he realised his mistake before it was delivered and had asked for it to be delivered to the correct address.0
