Gatwick Travelodge Rooms?

Hi
I'm thinking of booking a room at the Gatwick Travelodge as we fly to Orlando on 3rd September, which is a Monday and I think, the first day back for schools. I am thinking that the traffic on the M25 may be horrendous that day
Can someone advise on the family rooms. There will be myself, DH and teenage son. I know the 3rd bed is a pull out. Would it be suitable for a nearly 6ft 18 year old!

I recently stayed in a Travelodge in London and there were a double bed and full size single in the room.
If you haven't already booked your car park have you considered booking hotel+parking together? We booked today through http://www.airparks.co.uk/?agent=we490 - £85 for one night's accomodation plus 15 days parking and free transfers to airport. OK the hotel will be basic...but that's not a problem for one night.
A triple room to stay the night of the 2nd Sept would be £99 inc parking at the same hotel we're staying at about 5-10 mins from the airport.0 -

All the Family rooms we've ever had have been like this with a pullout single as a fourth bed.:cool:You're Damned If You Do & You're Damned If You Don't :doh:0 -
An extra bed sounds ideal - just the ticket!
I had already booked parking, but we're not the best organised first thing in the morning and I've developed this nagging worry about traffic delays!
Off to book:j

Travelodge family rooms have a sofabed (6ft) and pull-out bed underneath (fits about 5ft 8in), in addition to the double bed. The rooms and beds are advertised as suitable for a group of 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 kids (smallies due to the smaller pull-out bed).0

We stayed at the Gatwick Travelodge last year and have booked it again for next year. Family rooms are exactly as BernadetteN above says. It's a typical Travelodge, but we got a £26 Saver Deal so good value, although it was a bit difficult to find. Check out the charge for parking at the Travelodge, I can't remember how much it was.
Also, lots of schools have a non-pupil/training day on Monday 3rd and children don't go back until Tuesday 4th so traffic may not be as bad as you fear but we stayed overnight for peace of mind.2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07
