New stud wall. Pva plasterboard pre painting/papering?

Hi

I've built a stud wall (first ever). Done it all, plasterboards are up, and caulked the screw hokes.

This isn't a permanent fixture, probably only up for a year or two so I don't want to skim it with plaster. I'm just going to paint them (possibly paper). I've been googling and I think I should seal it with a pva or primer? Pva is the cheaper option but just wondered if anyone else has any advice?

I've read that papering directly on causes problems if the paper is scraped off at a later date so thought that maybe pva-ing it would be advisable

    DON'T Pva.

If you wallpaper - 'size' the plasterboard with wallpaper paste before papering onto. It's a temporary structure - what does it matter if you can't scrape off the wallpaper??

    That's all you need.

I second the above, PVA must be one of the most incorrectly used building products out there :o
