Old and New Pay n Display Ticket PCN Scotland

Hi,
I have read the Newbies Sticky and searched the Forum but havent found any advice re. my situation.
I have an appeal hearing tomorrow which I will be attending.
Circumstances are: PCN issued in Scotland by Local Council as I had left an expired Pay n Display ticket on my dash, together with my new ticket.
The Warden conveniently only viewed the expired ticket and issued me with a PCN. I have appealed but the Council have now come back with 'only one ticket should be displayed at a time'.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Leaving this till the day before your hearing is cutting things pretty fine!
You may get better help over on the Pepipoo Forum - they are the experts for dealing with legit, council tickets.0 -
Is that written down anywhere you could have seen it? Like on the parking meter or the ticket?
I've seen vans with dozens of tickets, so I'm not sure it's a claim that'll hold any water.0 -
As per post #2, if the T&Cs of parking do not specifically prohibit displaying expired parking vouchers then their case is shot ... to try and make this an express term of parking they'd need to make that clear in pre-contract information.
As per #3, Pepipoo is probably a better place for Council tickets.0
