in Credit cards
Hi folks,
wondering if anyone can give some advice in relation to an Aqua Credit Card.
Basically, my mum holds an Aqua Credit Card and it is either near or over limit.
She had no major issues with it (except running it near its limit, I explained the danger in doing this), but in the last few months my mum has had basically I would call it a relapse in mourning my dad who passed away a few years ago.
During this time she has basically stopped paying bills or making payments to anything.
I have sorted out the majority of stuff (as they have all been understanding and I managed to help my mum deal with these myself), but she refuses to deal with Aqua due to what she says is the way they treated her on the phone before.
Any advice on how I should best go about this. A few months of not paying has ran up fees and interest which she now cant afford to pay in one go. Noddle shows as three months behind on payments.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi. Write to them?
We have recently had to communicate with them and all has been done via letter. They have responded and all has been fine.
Hope your mum is soon feeling more up to dealing with things x0 -

Aqua over a limit is even worse.
What's wrong with setting a DD for at least minimum payments?0 -
The main problem is that my mum is currently refusing to have any contact with them and I obviously dont know all the details in relation to the account.
Would they even be allowed to take any sort of action based on a letter written on behalf on an account holder? I thought it would have to be the account holder themselves?
This is probably the route I would go down. Personally having never dealt with Aqua before I was looking for advice in regards to it0 -

Suppose you write a letter and ask her to sign it?
Or... write a letter as if from her, put a squiggle for a signature, and underneath type her name with the letters 'pp' in front of it. (If you want to be honest, type under that the words 'signed in her absence', or even 'dictated by [her name] and signed in her absence'.)0 -

Since they treated her badly on the 'phone she might be willing to sign a letter of complaint about their behaviour, so perhaps you could type one and get her to sign it. In the middle of the letter you could perhaps include a request for the information you need in order to sort things out.0
