Anything special to note re: Vehicle Control Services?

Got a comedy PCN - stopped literally 30 seconds (their silly time stamps show this) on an access road to frankie and bennys seemingly owned by Gallagher leisure.

It's from VCS - vehicle control services of Sheffield. Just wanted to check whether there was any special advice for them? I've read the newbie thread, it's IPC and IAS so will be putting appeal in and refusing to go to IAS Etc, so I don't need handholding - just if there is any special to note.

Also will be complaining to f and bs and Gallagher at the same time

Really annoys me - things like this don't worry me but they do worrying my partner and how can anyone justify £100 for 30 seconds.

Also is it worth ringing the 'general enquiries' line and ask them to confirm its not an error - 30 seconds seems extreme so either they're out for every penny (probably!) or it's a mistake and they cancel. As long as I don't identify the driver is it at least worth a shot?

Only if the switchboard is being staffed by the Tooth Fairy the day you ring, I am afraid. It's NOT a mistake - it's pursuit of income by any means.

For my girlfriends sanity though... Will it do any damage? I guess I could be generic and ask the question on a general basis.

By the way, I know you guys don't judge anyway, but we were stopped for only the time between timestamps while we decided where to eat - both on the Gallagher leisure park. Mental.

Happy to do that - and will, but the road is not owed by frankies so I foresee problems with that route. Not that that'll stop me complaining - just saying!

It certainly will not do any good. Utterly pointless ever telephoning a PPC. It's not a mistake, they just want your money and will do anything to get it.

Fair enough (in this case I bow to your better judgement)

Just for reference though, despite all the bull, if you ring TPS (unconnected case) and politely point out they're breached BPA code of conduct, they put you on hold and cancel the ticket 30 seconds later, complete with email confirmation. Done that twice - genuinely!

Won't happen with VCS, they aren't members of the BPA and the IPC couldn't give a sh|t.

Yeah was a bit gutted when I was it was the con artists rather than err... well slightly less bad lot!

mine was at JL Airport and at the time VCS where BPA members .....

sadly for you people on this site gave out such good information and helped people like me to win, that


VCS became IPC members its impossible to win an appeal with them......

the advice given out here is still as good but slightly harder to see through to the end ....
