I took it as should have read something like 'stressed to the core' ?
Stressed is also desserts spelt backward!!0 -
OK, I own up. I didn't know the schools had broken up yet...
Seriously OP - if you want us to believe your country is so great. you should never have left there, and you should certainly stay there. Perhaps you can find an employer there who pays you sick pay too? No? Well, what a surprise.
For your information I have a neurological condition - not that I am convinced you know what that means even. It took two weeks to get a referral to a consultant under the NHS and immediate treatment. All for "free" - because since I pay taxes and claim no benefits, it is a service that I pay for and one that I value. The good news is that there appears to be nothing at all wrong with my "core" and I don't need paracetamol.... But I also get sick pay because I am sick - not gallivanting across the world on holiday and suddenly developing a condition. So yes - I know for a fact that some doctors will say anything on a sick note. In the UK or elsewhere. You cannot be so sick you can't come back - so come back and let your employers occupational health confirm the diagnosis. Simples.0 -

Are you all F.... kidding??? NHS is good? If is so good then if you are woman under 50 go and try to get breast skan. Then you will see.
My friend lost his mum becouse she had breast cancel when she had 48 and it was too late.
of course you can go and do private which cost about 300-400 gbp. When in my country scan like that cost 10-15gbp.
i'm not saying that in my "wonderfull" country" is better but at least is way cheaper and specialist are on same level than british specialist.
If someone accuse me for paying for doctor note can ****** in his ****
Ps. you know how long you have to wait for neurologist in UK if you go to GP? No? Then call and see!
I'm a foreigner living in the UK and people like you put people like me in a difficult position.
Your English is funny but the worse is your attitude. NHS may not be perfect but it is still better than many others.
Only thing I can accuse you for is being an idiot.ally.0 -
My understanding of 'core' is the muscle structure at the centre of the body. So it sounds to me like you pulled a muscle. Not sure why a neurologist would be required for that diagnosis but hey ho.
You most certainly would be able to travel back to the uk and get a sick note at your GP here, so likewise with the others, your whinge does not wash.0 -

My understanding of 'core'
Ah, you could be right, except the OP seems to have gone off in a huff,or maybe internet is difficult to access where he is now, and we've had no explanation.
Either way, is it one of those maladies like "bad back", difficult for the doctor to diagnose and used by malingerers everywhere?0
