the reason is that in my country i can have priveate treatment from very good neurologist. Private mean that i have to pay but prices here are really cheap, especially compare to UK salary.

About paracetamol treatment. That was sarcasm. doesn't matter how sick you are you always get paracetamol.
My daughter get paracetamol for pneumonia from those pseudo doctors.
Lucky i went straigh to the child hospital. thatsway i don't want any treatment from those "doctors"

Rubbish. The NHS may not be perfect, but it competes with private treatment anywhere in the world. Yes, doctors can make mistakes (allegedly), but that happens anywhere, private or not. If you stop paying for private medical treatment in another country, you will be able to obtain free medical treatment AND pay your rent in this one! I see not reason at all for you to expect your employer to pay for your medical choices - and that is what you are saying. You are not prepared to accept UK medical treatment, but you expect UK sick pay.

I can't say I've ever been prescribed paracetamol by my GP ...

What exactly is your injury/ condition - in English?

I suspect it may be closely related to the recurring illness that my former employee kept getting. Note the word "former"... and I still work there.... Perhaps the OP should also take note of that.

he who pays the piper calls the tune..............

am I being ULTRA cynical in thinking that if one pays a "private neurologist" in an EU country- one could be given any suitable diagnosis to suit one's needs ......................

in my work life- I deal with a very rare condition ( which is dealt with wonderfully by a handful of NHS specialists ) there is a proven care pathway for the treatment of the condition.........which basically is a wait and see approach ( it deals with nerves - smaller than a human hair and not detectable by any scan, MRI, ultrasound or anything in tiny babies) yet time and again I see that many many babies in countries where you have to pay for any kind of investigation - these babies are subjected to a barrage of absolutely pointless tests.........the ONLY people to benefit from this are the "care providers".......................hence my cynicism

Are you all F.... kidding??? NHS is good? If is so good then if you are woman under 50 go and try to get breast skan. Then you will see.

My friend lost his mum becouse she had breast cancel when she had 48 and it was too late.
of course you can go and do private which cost about 300-400 gbp. When in my country scan like that cost 10-15gbp.
i'm not saying that in my "wonderfull" country" is better but at least is way cheaper and specialist are on same level than british specialist.
If someone accuse me for paying for doctor note can ****** in his ****

Ps. you know how long you have to wait for neurologist in UK if you go to GP? No? Then call and see!

Wow, can I ask why you want to ever return to the UK if you feel so very bitter?

And if you're going to try to be offensive, at least get your English to a standard that it makes sense! :p

firstly- there is a 2 week referral time limit for anyone with a suspicious breast lump - I know because I have had experience of finding a lump in my breast before the age of 50 - I saw the practice nurse at 9.30 am Tuesday morning- I was told to sit and wait to see the GP - who I saw at 9.50 am - the GP made the referral over the phone whilst I was there and I was seen at the hospital 8 days later.

I had a consultation with the breast surgeon, he sent me immediately for a mammogram and a biopsy the same day - within 3 hours I had been seen, tested and sent home to wait for the results which thankfully - showed just what the consultant thought it would - which was no cancer.

I had better treatment when I had a suspicious mole on my leg - I saw the Gp at 10 am on Friday - by 1.45pm the same day the dermatology clinic phoned with an appointment the following wednesday - i went for the appointment and had the mole removed there and then.
1 week later I had the results- it was a malignant melanoma and the consultant brought me into hospital the NEXT DAY ( a saturday) for further surgery - within 10 days I had been surgically treated and my life had potentially been saved.

DO NOT moan about our NHS - when you really really need it- they are (mostly) there for you - YES things go wrong and those things tend to get reported by the press for sensational reasons - but for the most part people get good -if not very good treatment.

so - forgive me if I don't ****** in my **** - I happen to think that yes you can get good service from the NHS - and actually if I was going to be truthful and say what I REALLY think.............the great BRITISH public could get a LOT better treatment a LOT quicker if the NHS was ONLY dealing with British citizens and NOT hundreds of thousands of people who are health tourists or migrants from the EU - sorry- but that is my opinion

Can you not even see how little sense that makes? :rotfl:

Good luck with your job seeking, I'm guessing that's what you'll be doing when you eventually return from your extended holiday ;)

Would take me about 10mins to set up an appointment to see a neurologist in the UK, but then again I know how to engage with the health services in this country unlike your friend and his mother.

I wouldn't pay you sick pay, it all sounds like a scam to me, even if its translated :rotfl:
Suggest you present yourself at the doctor in the UK and get your "core" examined.

You still haven't explained what "stress my core" means.

If the health service is so good and cheap in your country perhaps you should stay there, given your opinion of the NHS. I've lived and worked in another EU country, and one thing I found is that it is very difficult to take the best bits from each country and combine them: in your case you want UK sick pay and cheap private care elsewhere.
