    Just make sure that if you do get a solicitor to draw up the will, you do not make them the executor.

    I would not delay this unti Will Aid comes around, you and your partner are exactly the sort of people for whom having a will in place is absolutely essential. Get them sorted without delay you have already been taking a big risk for 9 years don't keep pushing it.

    I have decided to quickly draw up a will myself based upon research of wording i have found online etc, this will cover me for the very short-term until i get past a couple of upcoming holidays and will have it rewritten professionally in about 8 weeks time.
