Partner has missed a credit card payment. Is our mortgage application pointless

Hi guys, just found out my partner has missed her tesco credit car payment by 1 day. Should have been paid yesterday but couldn't get into her online banking and didn't realise. She's spoke to them this morning and paid it off in full. They said they will waive the charge of It does go on there but I'm really annoyed. She didn't have a direct debit set up which I thought she did.
She's since done that.
Will this affect her credit rating even if they waive the charge. Theyve said it can take 2 days to go through so even if she paid it yesterday It could still show as late.
We are looking to get a mortgage in the next week.
Obviously need to wait a few days to check her report but could this be a reason to get rejected?
