Concreting the UK

Would you concrete already rocky areas or care they ok as is?
What's the objective here - is it colour, hardness, or just for the love of concrete?Left is never right but I always am.0 -
The other MASSIVE problem we would have would be flooding. Less than 30% of rain actually "runs off" as surface water in rural areas/land. With Concrete Hardstand UK (TM) 100% of rain would run-off. So our rivers and other drainage would have to be significantly deeper/wider to cope.
Skates & boarding would no doubt become very popular, given that the whole UK had become a skate board park. Must check if I can find my board from the 70'sIn case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -
I think we'll also be concreting the rivers too so all water will have to stand.Left is never right but I always am.0

Aren't we concreting over the rivers and lakes too? If we're going to do something like this it should be done properly or not at all.0 -
Sand might be a problem not sure how much the UK has
.
Almost infinite, given that we can dredge and wash the stuff.
Coarse aggregate (gravel) would be harder to source in the quantities required. In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -

So where is the rain going to go???In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -
Come to Birmingham, you'll soon fall out of love with concrete.0

Could we grind up a couple of the bigger mountains in Wales and stuff? Nobody ever goes to see them. It would make the job of concreting easier too.0 -

Oh great!
So much for all that sewage & other effluent. We will all be dead from water-borne diseases in 6 months.;)In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0
