Budgeting Loan

I am a single person eligible for £348 which I have recently applied for some essential items I need. I've just read a story online that you don't always get the full amount. I don't owe the DWP no money and this is the first time I've ever applied. I have been in receipt of income based ESA for 21 weeks and income based JSA for 10 weeks before that. There was no gap in between claiming JSA and ESA. So ran concurrent. I switched to ESA because my health deteriorated. I could do with the full £348 and hope it is awarded. If not can I then put in another claim for the rest or do I have to pay a few payments first. There's not much information online so just wandered if anybody on here has any experience of budgeting loans. I know they look at your circumstances as well as seeing if your eligible.

If you asked for £348 and have no outstanding Social Fund debt then you will be awarded the full amount.

Can you telephone the helpline to check the progress before the 15 working days it states online. I wanted to check they've received my application. I did include my mobile no. on the application form hoping I'd get a update.

Normally they send you a text to say they have it, And it takes a further 10 working days for a decision. But you could call but they will ask when you sent it in, And there not normally that keen on checking if it's no within their time frames.

Just had a text to say they have received the application and I should receive a reply within the next ten days. Basically says what you say in so many words.

I received and sent back the acceptance letter last Monday(20th). I hope payment of the loan doesn't take too long to reach my account.
