I made my application through broker to Halifax on 7th July and had an email from broker to say my income had been verified and the valuation was booked for Wednesday 15th. Does this mean the application has been accepted pending the valuation or do they book the valuation before accepting the mortgage?
Our valuation was done on 8th of June and have been waiting for the decision ever since. We have some problem over my name tho.
If your application is a straigt forwars you will heare their decision soon. The answer coud be either yes or no

Speak to your broker - this delay is not right.

A thread that got off on the wrong foot.

The OP was merely questioning whether the Practice is to contact the Lender direct for updates or go through the broker - not querying why they had not heard as we read it.

If using a Broker do not contact the Lender direct.
