Thank You to Capital One (No, Really)

I just wanted to publicly thank Capital One for a very quick and painless PPI process. Yes honestly.
I checked their Website on how to make a complaint which was well explained and had a PDF form to download and complete. In it it requested proof of my self-employment at the time of taking out PPI and had contact details for HMRC and instructions as to what to request.
So after contacting HMRC and waiting a week for a letter to arrive I then sent off the form with a copy of my proof and then prepared myself for a 7 1/2 week response (just within the 8 week window).
What a shock then that after a little over a week I get a letter confirming receipt of my complaint, an apology and acknowledgement that I was indeed sold PPI inappropriately. They have all the details going back to 2002 when I opened my account and correctly calculated money due back to me in the region of £7000. Going back 13 years I thought was going to be a real battle (I had visions of my scanning every statement I've received over this time as proof). But no problem at all.
They have confirmed that if I have no objections to their offer then a cheque will be with me within 14 days.
Totally flabbergasted at how easy they made the process so well done Capital One on a five star service.:starmod::starmod::starmod::starmod::starmod:
P.S. Some may say I should have claimed a long time ago but I kept it on the back burner until the money was needed.:)
