I've gone in to the menu settings in the stereo and switched the warning chimes off but I'm still getting the chimes with low fuel etc.

Any ideas?

Why would you want to switch off the warning chimes?

Probably because op understands what empty and full means on the guage without the need of a noise

But, how annoying does it have to get? Surely, when the alarm goes off, one normally puts petrol in. It doesn't continue to sound until it gets some.

Nonetheless, why turn any of them off?

Well that's a matter of opinion. Op doesn't like the sound, I personally wouldn't like the sound, just because you wouldn't care if it was there doesn't make everybody else wrong

Manufacturers make them annoying deliberately so you don't ignore them.

How does asking simple questions make everyone else wrong?
