Filling gaps around windows - exterior and interior

Hey guys,
Move into our first property last year and had to deal with a major problem shortly afterwards - DRY ROT!!! That's sorted, but I'm slowly doing small repairs around the house.
The previous owner installed a double glazed window for the downstairs WC.
On the outside, there is a <10mm gap between frame and brick on sides and top. Thinking of sealing this with sealant - http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004QV7J6C/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3CZORQMTOHFCV&coliid=I3P7MK3QESOXTI
There is also a large gap >20mm on the bottom, underneath sill between the frame and brick. I'm thinking of sealing with either mortar or expanding foam.
For any gaps inside I am thinking of using caulk.
Is what I'm thinking ok? Just wanted to get your opinions before I start work and avoid creating problems later on.
Cheers.

If you are sealing to brick I would probably use dow corning 791
The stuff you linked to doesn't mention it's adhesion to brick or concrete.
If the gap is deep you can back fill with something to reduce the silicone you use ..But leave about 6 mm of depth for the properties of the product to work ..some people use expanding foam or backing rod0 -
Wickes sell mortar in a sealant style tube. Not the cheapest, but it's ideal for the job you need to do. I used it to fill a gap between a new window and bricks and it worked a treat.0
