Bluenoseam - you raise a very good point. I am glad that microsoft didn't allow him to download it without permission. BUT I wanted them to allow me to put in a password to allow it. Much the same as purchasing from a shop I could buy the game for him.

I have actually resolved the situation. I found an area in the account (via the xbox) where i could actually upgrade it to an adult account (something Microsoft failed to tell me). Whilst this resolves all issues, it does mean he can download anything he wants :eek: Surely a better way would have been to keep the account as a child but just need a password for purchases over his age. I am lucky that he wont do that, he always asks first. Also I have lost the very useful feature of limiting time on the xbox via the family counter, but I suppose you can't have everything :rotfl:

I cannot afford a gaming pc and the reason he has xbox is purely because all his friends have it so he chats to them on live
