Are lloyds and Halifax the same bank as such?
I wanted to open a second safe bank account to save into and I opted for a Halifax basic. Now I've just seen when I went to register for online banking the website address is lloyds bnking group
I have a loan with lloyds.
Would they be able to take money from the Halifax account to pay the lloyds loan?
We had current account and loan accounts with Halifax. The current account is now being collected (through our DMP) by Lloyds. First contact we have ever had with Lloyds. We had no previous accounts or connection with them whatsoever - so I would say be careful with Halifax/Lloyds as they are clearly linked somehow.DFW Nerd No. 1484 LBM 07/01/15 Debt was £95k  Now debt free and happy :j0 -
Just nearly had a heart attack when I logged in to my Noddle account to see my total outstanding debt has risen by £3200 in the past couple of weeks:eek:. This despite payments via SC all being up to date.
It looks as if one of the debts has been counted twice with the original DCA reporting to Noddle as well as the new buyer of the debt. Both show payments up to the current one so that's something else I need to take up with someone. I've definitely only paid one of them but I'd like the balance etc to show the accurate situation as it looks as if I've got 7 current debts/creditors instead of only 6. Noddle often show things wrongly, I can't trust the validity of their data 100%:(0 -

They are part of the same group. We used nation wide and a small building society.LBM 2/12/15 - total debt £62500:shocked::shocked::exclamati::eek:

I've just got a letter from them to say they are reducing the minimum payment to surprise surprise the amount SC offered.. they have cleared the arrears and put interest to zero till may 17. But this means I will have to go through this again then doesn't it0

Anyone had any problems with Sky? As in, do they run a credit check on you to accept you? Wanting to change telly package over and it's a massive saving, just don't want to fall at the last hurdle!

I approach these type of credit checks now with the attitude that if they refuse, then they do and I'm no worse off for trying. So go for it.

OMG I'd have had a turn if I'd seen that. Better that you check it though, otherwise you'd never have known. With light of experience from CP, I'd probably monitor it for 2 months as I find Noddle usually catches up within about 2 months, then if not fixed make a complaint.lumpyspaceprincess wrote: »Just had my latest Step change statement, wow. almost 70% paid off, I can't believe I've managed to pay so much off since I started.
