DLA is not counted as income for debt repayment purposes.
It's there to provide you with the care/service you need, it's not for repaying debts, so don't include it in your income.
Ah, okay. It's just the Debt Remedy form had a space for DLA so I wasn't sure! Thank you.2019 Wins

Are, but is it a legally enforceable copy ?
From that period it must contain various prescribed terms.
A legal precedent has been set with agreements of this age.
You should check it very carefully zenshi !!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. We were told by SC that we had to declare the DLA that we receive for our son so have included it in our income and expenditure info since our DMP started in October 2014
They said to include it but then deduct out what we used it for e.g. one-to-one swimming lessons, additional equipment/clothing, extra petrol to attend appointments etc. I guess it then just cancels out what we receive as we allocate it all out in the expenditure sections.

Quick question - stepchange took my payment at the start of the month but nothing seems to have been passed onto the creditors yet, how long does this usually take?Started DMP with stepchange - Feb 2016 Self Managed - October 2016
Starting Debt: £25,555 Current Debt: £21,529 (Total debt re-payed: 15.75 %)0 -
Hi all.
Was wondering how you all budget? I.e the actual recording of it?
I have realised I need to get closer to my repayments as I have no clue what's left on what etc. I do a list on my phone of what needs paid that month and tick it off as it goes out the accounts. What do others do??
Unfortunately no desk top so can't do ynab.
I noticed someone said on here they update a spread sheet every time sc do a statement? That sounds like what I need to do!!0 -
I use a simple cash ledger. Each creditor is listed with the figure, next column is my payment, final column is the new total. Each one is ticked as payment goes out.
At the bottom of the page I do the same but for the total debt figureLBM.....sometime in 2013 £27,056. 10 creditors
