Hi Coinmachine,
If you read back the last 2 pages there is quite a chat about our lovely defaults..! Unfortunately some creditors are very mean and won't give them to us, whilst others default very quickly. I am unsure about being able to get the default backdated if it hasn't been applied yet?
Noddle show green up to date on the 2 of my undefaulted debts but unfortunately when you open the details they are marking the file dmp/ap which will stay on file for 6 years from when the debt is settled hence why we love a default as this disappears 6 years from placed on the file.
Love puzz. x
Thanks Puzzie hope you are well? Xx
It does sound like they will default me now and at least from now so that will mean defaults on all debts, so maybe persist in complaining to them? Will see what happens.I'm a greenfield sight for sore eyes, and sore eyes are just needing the light, the shapes, and the shadows of the space we share, before it splits into Thin Air.0 -
Hi everybody, not been on for a while. Just wondered if anybody has an address to write to for collections department for a Debenhams card that is owned by Newday? I need to tell them that they are only getting token payments of £5 a month for the next 3 months due to job problems. Sc were great about it but said I needed to write to all the creditors myself to inform them and not sure where this one should be sent.

Well what a turn up for the books !! .... With us in the final few months of our DMP, weve had a small stroke of luck. Mr Tax man has just refunded Mr Spicy close to £1000 and, following the bad weather, over the weekend, we "lost" the large Beach tree that was in our rear garden and one of the beech trees that was in a neighbors garden.
Mr Spicy has been out with his chainsaw all weekend reducing the tree to more manageable pieces in both gardens.
Our neighbour just wants his tree gone, so has "given" us the wood on the proviso Mr.Spicy replaces his fence).
I have managed to find a local firewood buyer who is interested in taking all the wood from both trees and is coming around to remove all the wood.
So, it turns out, we will have 1 DMP payment to make and that should settle everything !!!....LBM - Oct - 08 DMP Started - Feb -09

Hi,
I am on DMP for £7538 with a debt free date of Jan 2023.
I only pay £90p/m currently, but as of April 2017 I can up it to £310 as my car finance is paid off.
I now receive an £800 bonus every four months, which if I contributed to my DMP would average out at an extra £200 p/m.
Is this what you would advise to do? Do I need to tell Step Change I receive this bonus now?
Thanks!

Personally I wouldnt. Keep the money aside, maybe up your DMP to £100 a month but bank the cash. Then when you have a significant amount, make a one off paymentLBM - Oct - 08 DMP Started - Feb -09

Thanks 2spicy. I assumed SC would know that my car was paid off as its part of my budget plan, so I thought I would have to let them know it was paid so that they could up my monthly repayments.
Sometimes I have moments where I want it all gone and want to pay it off in large chunks while other times I am happy with it slowly reducing.
I will def look at the savings idea though and pay it off in a lump sum.0 -
