HELP!! Car Tax problems!!!

Hi i hope someone can help me? i realised yesterday my car tax expired 30th June. I haven't received a reminder as i moved earlier this year and completely forgot to change address. To top it off all i can find is v5c/2 not my v5. Its mot'd and insured. i have filled in a v62 form can i take it to the post office and get it taxed straight away :mad:

    Not sure, but can't you do it online, using the number on the v5c/2 ?

    tried but my ref only has 11 digits. So stressed going away saturday with our 3 kids and a trailer tent! our other car has no tow bar

    Yes you can but you will have to pay the £25 for the replacement V5 as well as the tax due.

    If your tax has expired, then the V5C/2 will be too old to be used anyway - you can only use it for two months.

    V62 to get a new V5C is the only way.
