Contradicting Land Registry boundaries

I would use the link above to the Government Legal Department and read what it says there 1st. It looks as if the Government would put the land up for auction. Then think about talking to a solicitor
Thank you! I did have a look through of that link - lots of stuff there. Am I right in thinking that if we did try to buy the land, the government may just decide to auction it off on a whim once we contacted them?0 -
Update: The seller says the fence was like it when she moved in back in the early 90s. She may well be right (perhaps the greenhouse *was* covered by trees! Stranger things..) Which means the land has been "borrowed" in excess of the 12 years. That's good news, isn't it?
It doesn't look like the other, non-greenhouse part has been treated as part of the other garden even if there is no longer a fence there. As mentioned previously, it's the behind greenhouse part that has had the trees maintained, not the other part. So I am not sure they could claim adverse possession?
Probably time to get proper legal advice, well, when cashflow permits! Moving house is not cheap ;-)0
