It was my genuine error and for that I apologise. I have had some quite rude and snide PM's from users on here who don't purchase these magazines and have been highly critical of my error, this mag costs well over £24 a year to subscribe to and, arguably, it is everyone's responsibility to double check answers before you submit them. As an aside, it seems to be the same people who have messaged me on here who are also quite rude (at times) to others within this thread and other threads. The cash competition is usually a well known phrase and this months answer I have never heard of before. So although I am sorry I made a mistake I am not sorry for those who have just copied and pasted across without double checking first. I am very close to just resigning from posting the answers anymore for this title, but I have a few more months of the subscription to run before I decide whether to renew or not; so I will continue to post the answers but encourage you all to double check the phrase first and either PM me if you query it or pop a message on here.

Can we now draw a line under this and move on.

And I agree with every word of this post - the 'entitled' attitude of some of the users of this forum is at least partly what has led me to give up posting a certain magazine in the past (although some members may remember that my initial reaction was rather more extreme...)

Ignore the keyboard warriors.
I've had my fair share of cretinous PM's (criticising wrong answers or my 'posting style') and always offer my phone number to them to give the opportunity to say it over the phone.
Unfortunately, none have ever taken me up on the offer :mad:
File them under sadsacks and move on!

Plenty people on here are very grateful for your postings and appreciate the expense you go too.

Sorry to clutter up the thread with chatter but I just wanted to add another THANK YOU to Rick and all the others who spend their own time and money on doing these puzzles and sharing the results with us all, and a big BOO to the people who send nasty PMs and act like they're somehow justified in mooching off the goodwill of others while simultaneously badmouthing them! Have you never heard the phrase "don't bite the hand that feeds"!

I think this is an occasion where a bit of chatter won't be frowned upon. Thankyou for all of your hard work Rick, everyone makes mistakes, perhaps those rude people should buy the mags themselves. Please don't resign over these keyboard warriors, I know I don't post many text posts but you are really appreciated by the regulars here. I had similar nastiness when I first joined the forum which is part of the reason I don't post much, but generally this is a friendly forum and it would be a shame to let a few people ruin the experience for you.

Yes, I was one of those who put in the original wrong answer to the above comp - but hey ho! life goes on! There a far more important things to worry about in the world! I'm over it and I am sure the others are too

I didn't intend my post to be critical at all. I have no problem with my error of copying and pasting the wrong answer. I should have read all of the posts made before entering. My thoughts towards you Ricke17 are purely gratitude for your time and money to share these answers with us.

My suggestion of editing posts was purely to help out other people who may make the same error as myself.

For all the people who have been rude to you - SHAME ON YOU, YOU UNGRATEFUL, MEAN PEOPLE!
