I don't think there is any need to behave like this @cazablue - essentially when youy click on the link you refer to (http://www.puzzler.com/competitions/online-competitions/12322) it will ask you to log into the website if you are not already logged in - then there is an icon to click on to enter it. This leads to the aforementioned competition. I have managed to do this, so am not too sure what the problem is. The OP didn't have to post this competition as am sure they post from their agreed puzzler subscription.
Let's leave it now, as I am subscribed to this thread and am getting email notifications for this!0 -
When you click "login to enter" next to the competition this takes you to the login page, where those of us with accounts log in. However, when you first do this and don't have any login details you naturally read what's written underneath - it says:
"If you do not have a puzzler.com account but do have a magazine subscription, please click here"
It does not have any option to register (well, it does, but it's right at the top of the webpage where new users to the site might not look instinctively) nor does it tell you what to do if you don't have a subscription.
If you click on "If you do not have a puzzler.com account but do have a magazine subscription, please click here", it continues to tell you to log in by entering your subscription information (account number etc.). Again, if you are new to the puzzler website then this is confusing, because it still doesn't tell you what to do if you don't have a subscription - it can seem as though you have to have a subscription to log in. It still doesn't mention that you can register for free and get login details that way. It's only when reading post #1 of this thread, that it is made clear there is a free way to register.
Cazablue......if you would like to enter the puzzler competitions you can register for free, no subscription necessary, by going here:

Many thanks Maursie for the comp. Would love to win a holiday to anywhere. Kefalonia is a Greek Island and not in Malta. I expect that the Mag has not updated its comp details. Good Luck all0

It's a different magazine so answer spans both copies.
Just wondering if it is still worth me posting the Puzzler one if it is duplicated each month (and will save me the time and money).
