help! Lost BACS recall

Hi guys, I'm new here but hope you can help.
I was due to get paid on the 26th June. I've entered into an IVA so my Halifax account was frozen on the 25th. I requested my employer (NHS) to recall the payment on the 25th and to put wages into my new bank account (Barclays).
I was due to get paid in two amounts. 1 very small amount (for extra shift) and 1 very large amount.
This was recalled on the 25th but still has not reached my employer and therefore I cannot be paid. I have written letters and phoned halifax several times and each time they say they cannot find it.
The small amount has been recalled and put back into my employers bank but the large amount is still to be returned.
What is happening and where would that money be? I am struggling to survive and neither my employer nor halifax will seem to do anything.
My employer have said if it's not returned on Monday they will pay me, but take it from my July wage if it's not returned by the 20th. This will put me back at square one if halifax haven't returned it.
Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance

Recalling Bacs payments always used to be a very manual process, and I have a feeling it probably hasn't changed.
What used to happen is, your employer would tell their bank that they wanted to recall the BACS payment. The employer's bank would then phone your bank (Halifax)' to advise that the payment was to be recalled, and then post a form off to Halifax.
When Halifax received the form, they'd write a cheque out and post it back to your employers bank with a tear off slip from the request form.
I don't know if this is still the case with the big banks - I was working for a very small bank up until the end of last year and it was still being done in this old fashioned, manual way. As BACS has largely been replaced by faster payments, there's no real impetus to change.
I suspect that it's your employers bank who are the ones who need to take action - for example, resend their request formEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Thank you goldiegirl. I will get on to my employers on Monday.0

Surely you won't be out of pocket. Isn't it all for your employer to sort out?0

I'll get my wages Monday regardless as a "good will gesture" but if halifax don't return the payment by the 20th then June's wage will be deducted from July's wage leaving me with nothing again and this time there won't be a good will gesture.
I'm just hoping it can be recovered as Halifax are making out like they have no idea where the money is, even though they have refunded the small amount0 -
Did you owe the Halifax anything when the account was frozen?0
