Leisure Range cooker problem.

Dear MSE forum users, I was wondering if you'd be so kind as to offer some advice please.
Last year, my wife and I renewed our kitchen, part and parcel of this was a new cooker, namely a "Leisure range cooker" from the company AO.com. Long story short, 13 months into ownership and the oven has completely stopped working.
I believe that it only came with a 12 month guarantee, so, technically speaking; it's outside the guarantee, however, a couple of things... firstly, I paid for it via a credit card, and secondly I have heard someone mention some stuff about the sale of goods act, where all electrical stuff is guaranteed for much longer, but it's not something that care to mention. Like I said, I have no clue, so I thought I'd ask here first.
Can anyone help please?

Your warranty is 12 months. Beyond that you would have to pay for repairs.
Sale of Goods Act is broadly speaking meant to cover inherent defects in the design or manufacture of goods. Since the product is now more than 6 months old, the onus would be on you to prove that a fault existed in the product in the first place. This is not easy to prove and certainly not something you can do cheaply.
Your credit card provider might offer extended warranties on the cooker. Check with them. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Thanks Ryder, worth asking, even if the answer wasn't the one I was hoping for0

Have you spoken to Leisure directly?
It's very unlikely the entire range is a write off, maybe getting one of their engineers out to have a look at it could see it resurrected quite cheaply! If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands
