I agree with those saying if it works for you and you're not getting into debt to buy it then stick with it. Your money, you spend it how you like (providing you're not buying pricey products at the expense of mortgage/bills/food etc).
The products I use run the gamut from an Estee Lauder serum (pricey, but a big bottle lasts me a year and it works wonders on my spots) to a Simple cleanser and everything in between.
