I received the same e-mail, went for the update and all it did was offer me the latest version of TomTom Home v 29.n.n and once that was installed, amazingly opportunities to buy more maps and those annoying post code finders one small and one large file size. I don't have room on my device for any more software or maps and my post code finder works just fine anyway.0

It is just a link for QuickGPSfix - which is fine providing you update it regularly. If you do not update it looks for satellites in the wrong place so can actually take longer to get a fix if at all. I have stopped using it now and deleted it from my One V3 and everything works fine.
