Are they all a standard size?
Could some be bigger fridge with smaller freezer and vice versa?
The fridge I have is an integrated one left by the previous owner (I completed my sale in April). It smells and I want to get rid of it.

The all tend to be the same size in total, but the fridge/freezer ratio can be what you want
So, 50-50, 60-40, 70-30 (first figure is fridge ratio to second freezer figure) are all common.
I'd normally plump for a 50-50.0 -
The integrated doors (ie the cabinet doors attached to the fridge freezer doors) will be sized either for 50:50, 60:40 or 70:30. If, for example, you have a 50:50 arrangement, you cant put any other size in as the doors wont line up.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

You can, as a bodge cowboy job secure the two doors together to the two fridge/freezer doors so it opens as one
Total bodge job though0 -
Thanks.
I will take the measurement of both the existing fridge and the outside doors.
Could I just rip the doors off and put a normal freestanding fridge freezer? I want to get a brand new kitchen asap anyway but finances mean it might be a couple of years.0 -
possibly, but the housing unit will probably be 600 mm wide, so the actual space available for a freestanding f/f will be perhaps 560 depending on the thickness of the housing carcase.
if you want to get a 600 mm f/f in the space you would probably need to remove the housing unit.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
Depends on where it's situated
I've a J shaped kitchen. Same problem, f/f was done when we moved in but the rest of the kitchen was still in good nick. With the f/f being at the end of the J we were able to dismantle the housing and put in a free standing f/f Indeed when we remodeled the kitchen we kept the free standing where it was and built the new kitchen around it.0 -
All integrated fridge freezers are all the same width. As krisdorey says you have a ratio choice of 70:30 60:40 & 50:50. You need to know the ratio before buying a new f/f. An easy way to find this is typing the current f/f model number in to Google.0
