I have Kindle which I have downloaded onto my Macbook Air and also my Android phone. It is not a separate device, just the software.
I don't use it very often, so I've never fully got the hang of it.
Today I downloaded a book from Amazon onto Kindle on my Android. I then cleared the cache, and pressed the button to transfer Kindle to the memory card on my phone.
Now I can't get it to work on either my Android or Macbook. When I click to open it on the laptop, nothing happens. It's as though the software has gone, leaving only the icon on my dock.
Help!

First check that the book is still listed in your Amazon account under your "Orders", then you could try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
You'll find the answer here if that doesn't work http://www.amazon.co.uk/forum/kindle?*Version*=1&*entries*=00 -
Might be because you transferred it .0

Try the usual fixes on the MacBook:
1. Reboot.
2. Drag the Kindle App to the trash then download and reinstall it.
Note that your eBooks are stored at:
Home -> Library -> Containers -> com.amazon.Kindle -> Data -> Library ->Application Support -> Kindle -> My Kindle Content
If all else fails it might be necessary to drag the folder com.amazon.Kindle to the trash then reinstall the Kindle App again.0 -
Thanks, I've reinstalled Kindle and it's working on my Mac now. Not sure what's happening on my phone as it's drained all the battery. Will check once it's charged, and probably delete and reinstall again.
Thanks for all the suggestions.0
