Hi
Gf has an account at lloyds and nearest place to pay in is a fair way away. Anyone know if she can pay cash in at a cashpoint, or what banks support this?
Thanks

My local Lloyds and Halifax have paying in machines, but normal cashpoints do not allow deposits.
Not sure about branch machines outside.0 -
yes - I understand that0

same thing - distance
let me rephrase the question - perhaps I could open an account that I could pay cash into via cashpoint and then transfer0 -
What do you call 'cashpoint'?
Normally only in-branch (including outside sometimes) ATMs allow depositing cash, and only to this particular bank. Outside ATMs that do this are easy to spot as they have special slots for dispensing envelopes and sucking them back.
I know Santander normally have such ATMs.0 -
atm external - have used these some time ago to deposit cash - just wondered0

Have you considered paying in at a Post Office?

it doesn't have to be a main PO - there are sub POs everywhereThe questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
The last time i used Lloyds in house machines for paying in it miscounted.
We double checked the amount of cash and both agreed it was £3000. However the machine registered £3020.
I expected Lloyds to contact me but never heard anything from them.
However never happened to us since.0 -
OP - is there a Tesco near you? If so, their Instant Access Saver might suit your purpose.
