Parking near Canada Water

Hi folks

I am going to an event near Canada Water station on Thursday 23rd July. I will be there from 5pm until after 11pm. Am bring 4 others with me, and we have stuff to carry, so Public Transport is not very feasible/appealing.

My issue is finding somewhere to park. There appear to be no paid car parks nearby. There is a BIG car park at Surrey Quays, but as far as I can tell it is limited to 4 hours parking, and camera enforced. And I will NOT be able to come out and move the car during the event.
Most of the streets nearby are CPZed (according to Parkopedia)

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Neal

The car park is likely limited to shop opening times as well so may well not be available. Is public transport not feasible at all?

Are you sure you have exhausted all alternatives - Click Here (first result - and there appear to be plenty of options :))
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

Thanks for the response, but yes I have looked. I had already established that the Surrey Quays car park would not work, and the lmgtfy link leads to Parkopedia, which I had also looked at, as I said in my post.

Anyone who knows the area have any idea?

I'm sorry the suggestion didn't work for you but I very deliberately did not point you towards Parkopedia. That is why I suggested the first result in the lmgtfy search - Just Park.

There are several suggestions listed there offering parking on private driveways within 100m of the station and their prices are not unreasonable. Given that it was clear from your post that you were not necessarily looking for a free car park I wonder how these suggestions did not meet your criteria?

I guess it depends how close you have to park.

Street parking in Scawen Road or Trundleys Road , both Deptford London SE8, near to Deptford Park, will be available and a 10 minute walk to Canada Water. Look at google maps.

You will find less parking restrictions heading South towards Deptford than you will heading N/W towards Bermondsey as this goes nearer to the centre.

Downside, the area can have gangs of 'those up to no good' roaming and on nights of Millwall games some of these have targeted cars knowing that a lot of the owners will be at the game.

    That said, I'd park there.

A goodly proportion of Redriff Road, Salter Road, Rotherhithe Street and some other local backstreets are free on-street parking. This is walking distance to Canada Water, or there are 2 local buses that run around the Rotherhithe peninsular. Depending on where you are going at Canada Water, you may need to catch the bus clockwise or anticlockwise - it can be a bit confusing.

    edit: Also Timber Pond Road.
