Wow. For that kind of money I'd be expecting solid wooden furniture, not MDF.

I've just furnished two bedrooms with the Next Isabella white range and its cost a small fortune, that's painted MDF as well and more of a shock, flat packed ...... but I loved it and pondered over it for months before I took the plunge.

In the OP's case I suppose the brunt of the cost is for the heavily lacquered drawers.

At those sorts of prices I'd be asking if there is any of it on display at any nearby store. I'd be clawing at any demo unit to ensure it shows no signs of delamination and checking the sturdiness of it and the width of the board used.

I nearly didn't buy mine, because I saw it on display and when I opened the drawers they weren't running freely, but it must be that they had been made up poorly, not a very good advert for their products.

When you say its not possible to view it before purchase I assume you mean you are nowhere near a debenhams store as they would surely have it on display?

I wouldnt buy furniture without seeing it.
  • Did you buy the Euston furniture in the end? we are in exactly the same position as would prefer to see it first but it is not on display in store. With the blue cross sale that finishes today we can get 30% off and so need to make a decision quickly. How did you find the quality? Which colour did you go for? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thx
