Had a drip from my shower, it's run of a combi boiler, (sorry no name on it), repair man has ordereda a new value for it, he said he has turned the washer around in the meantime, yet for some reason the shower is cooler than it was when set at the same temp, could he have "knocked" something inside?

You possibly have a different pressure and therefore volume of water coming through it now.... because if the leak was substantial it may have affected the amount of cold water coming through... or... if he switched the water off at the stopcock while doing the repair, it may be coming through now at a different rate if the valve is not open at exactly the same level as before... this affects mine in this way...

Cheers that makes sense, he did turn it off at the stopcock, and thinking about it the water pressure seems to be higher, I did have it set at just under 38c, which again thinking about it would feel hot for the lower pressure.
