confused about cuts

When I first looked at the budget i didn't think it would effect me but when i put my details in the bbc budget calculator it says i will be over 1,500 pounds worse off.

I am a single parent to 3 school age kids, I work full time and earn about 10,000 a year!

Why will I be worse off

Because they have lowered the threshold for working tax credit and increased the rate at which they are taken away.

    £1500 will be about right.
