I've searched the forum & think I found the comp I won from, as I didn't recall entering a comp for a meal in Manchester (when I live in Kent!)

as I think it was your post that I won from! I must be 1 of the 20 runners up
The letter arrived out of the blue, as a Special Delivery that I took from the postie on my way out of the door to work.
The prize is a dinner & drinks for 2 up to the value of £100 at the Obsidian Bar & Restaurant. Even better is the letter which came along with it saying they would cover up to £100 in travel expenses - just have to find a nice cheap way for us to both get up there now!
So thank you merlinormartin, it's great that I get to have a lovely meal & probably weekend away (with some sort of cheap hotel deal somewhere?) with my boyfriend & not have to worry about the restaurant bill!

Congrats! It's meant to be a very nice restaurant. There are loads of decent travel inns etc nearby, all of the city centre ones are within walking distance. Virgin trains also do an advance fare of £12.50 each way from London (but you have to book a long way in advance to get this). The restaurant and hotels are all within walking distance of the train station.
