extra deep/long bath panel required

Or some other idea that can be made into a bath panel.
Been looking and there are some extra deep bath panels, and if that's my only choice then fine, but they are in kent and I am Oop north. Yes they will post and thats also fine if I have to. But its if it will get to me in one piece, etc
So it must be 580 deep and if possible 1800 long., or I can buy 2 to get the length required.
Unless there is some other brilliant solution.
Money is not particularly an issue, although thousands is not an option.
The bath had to be raised slightly to level it but its always been deep. At the end of the bath is a void ( with pipes and stuff)that's always been a shelf hence the extra length needed.
The previous bath panel was jerry rigged from painted ply board and fell apart when taken off.
Cheers for any help.

Providing your plumbing is sound I'd be inclined to make your own tiled panel, they look 100X better than an off the shelf bath panel0

My bath panel is Birch WBP plywood that has been cut to suit. It is clear varnished to make it waterproof and has a skirting detail to match the bathroom. It could have been painted but I preferred the timber look because it is different.
The advantage with this plywood is that the there is virtually no grain marking and no knots.
The plywood sheet was purchased from a local builders merchant.
Hope this helps.0 -
Try rhoper rhodes. I know some of there's are adjustable in heightHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0

Go to Howdens or Magnet Trade and buy a white tall oven housing end panel. These are 595 x 1980 so can be cut to size.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Have you thought of old fashioned tongue and groove, it makes a lovely panel and can be cut / made to size with little effort before being painted or stained to match the rest of your bathroom.0

Another idea is to go to your local plastics supplier. Ours stocks loads of different panels and tongue and groove plastic. We've just bought some tongue and groove plastic and hubby is now making our bath panel out of it. It would depend on the look you want. When we finally gut our bathroom and do it out properly we will tile around the bath as personally I think it looks much neater and you can usually hinge a tile to be an access panel.0

All brilliant ideas thanks so much.
Wish I had a pic so you could see.
I think tiled will be just too much as every wall is going to be tiled to the ceiling. Need something to offset all the white tiled look.
However the vanity that's going in is grooved, so hopefully I can jerry rig another bath panel in a similar style.
Thanks again you are all stars. :beer:63 mortgage payments to go.

Bumping this to say, in the end I have gone with a wood frame, made by my OH, this frame will have laminate wood flooring stuck to it. It will be a frame of two halves (actually 3/4 and 1/4)
Gone for this idea as saw a Loo seat in the same colours, white ash effect.
Will take a pic when its done and update thread for anyone whom is faintly interested and may be of some use.
Have to say it was the ideas on here that made me think outside the box.
Sooo hard to edit on here so adding, cost is.
1 pack wood flooring around £15
Wood for frame £35
Some panel pins and glue about a fiver.63 mortgage payments to go.
