Halifax Reward Current Account £100 Eligibility

Hi all,

looking to hear form folks who have made the switch to this account. The click-thru has a message stating:

If you've had cashback for switching since January 2012, we're sorry but you don't qualify.

My question is does this only apply to people who have already done a Halifax switch since Jan 2012 or any bank switch that has earned them a sign up fee? I opened a First Direct since that date and received a £100 so I'm worried I'm not eligible for this deal.

If you haven't received cashback for getting a new Halifax account, you can get the £100.

I assumed they mean generally, to discourage people who often switch from applying. But if it's only for previous signups to Halifax then I should be good to go!

Halifax want you to switch to them. They dont care if you've switched from HSBC to FD, but they do care if you've switched from Bank-A to Halifax before using their incentive and trying to cash in on the same incentive.
